Crazy Busy

Crazy-Busy

Do you feel that you are racing through life in the fast lane, and although the journey might be invigorating, it depletes your energy and results in elevated stress levels?

Being constantly busy with our blackberries, cell phones and email 24/7; rushed mornings and hurried mealtimes and longer workdays sap us of creativity, humanity, and mental well-being.

This state of constant frenzy, a symptom of our high-speed, high-tech world is a national epidemic. Day in and day out, we plunge ourselves into a mad rush of activity. The resulting brain overload has led to a point where our entire society is suffering from culturally induced ADD. No one can focus. We are reacting to events rather than taking the time to stop, observe and respond.

This basic workshop is designed to introduce techniques that reduce stress, anxiety, and physical/mental distress. It will utilize a combination of mindfulness techniques, meditation, breath-work, movement and visualization so that you can begin to slow down and unsnarl your frantic life. With practice, you will learn to listen to your innate intelligence; increase your ability to navigate the most-difficult circumstances and make sense of the chaos around you. You will begin to feel stronger and healthier with additional tools for managing the stress that life can bring!

This basic workshop can be presented as an introduction to stress reduction techniques or a series that allows you to practice these skills on an ongoing basis and make them your own.
